Right now, our quetsche tree is heavy with fruit!
Before coming to Alsace, I didn't know what a quetsche was, and, in fact, they're also known as French Sugar Plums and I had heard of those somewhere, long ago, in a nursery rhyme. They're a fruit that come from the Alsace region and really yummy in 'tarte aux quetsches' and in Madame Sutter's signature 'confiture.'
